The goal of this meeting is to seek clarity on how our research activities and results can best be translated into operational or educational products. In this meeting, moderated Q&A will gather information on how models, maps, and probabilistic output can be used by our partners as we provide sample research results. For example, users will provide feedback on fact sheets that describe the characteristic atmospheric circulation patterns associated with S2S extreme precipitation events and will discuss how the extreme value probability distribution functions can be communicated as an understandable and useful product for practitioners. We will ask stakeholders to bring and explain examples of products they currently find useful in their decision-making processes, allowing us to examine the characteristics of these products. Information from the Product Definition Meeting will be used to frame the output of our predictive model.
