Research Activity 2 – Prediction of Rainfall Extremes at Subseasonal to Seasonal Periods

Research Activity 2

This research activity focuses on employing the statistical framework that was created in research activity 1 to analyze common atmospheric patterns that are associated with subseasonal to seasonal extreme precipitation events. The framework will be applied to climate model data and reanalysis data to understand what causes and drives extreme precipitation events. This will lead to the creation of a database of common characteristics of events and a database of events within climate model data.
