Each year, the American Meteorological Society honors multiple award winners from across the weather and climate enterprise. We’d like to say a big congratulations to Robert Goldhammer, a participant from our first workshop, for receiving the Kenneth C. Spengler award for his collaborations that link emergency management with the weather and climate communities. We are grateful to learn from his experiences with extreme precipitation events!
In May 2020, Dr. Elinor Martin (Lead Principal Investigator), Dr. Jason Furtado, Dr. Jeffrey Basara and Greg Jennrich published a new paper in the American Meteorological Society’s Journal of Climate. This paper focuses on the large scale characteristics of 14-day extreme precipitation events in the United States. You can read the full article here!
